Overview Steve Seost, a veteran musician, luthier and guitar repairman demonstrates the proper techniques of the basic set-up and maintenance of the four primary guitar types: solid body fixed bridge, solid body floating Tremolo Bridge, acoustic, and bass. As the course is self-paced you can decide how fast or slow the training goes, and are able to complete the course in stages, revisiting the training at any time.  Method of Assessment:  At the end of the course, you will have one assignment to be submitted (you need a mark of 65% to pass) and you can submit the assignment at any time. You will only need to pay £19 for assessment and certification when you submit the assignment. You will receive the results within 72 hours of submittal, and will be sent a certificate in 7-14 days if you have successfully passed. Certification: Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate for Guitar Set-Up and Maintenance. Entry Requirement: Learners must be age 16 or over and should have a basic understanding of the English Language, numeracy, literacy, and ICT.  Career Path: This course will help you improve your guitar playing skills, so if you work in the music industry then this course will enhance your CV. Presenter Information: Steve is a musician, songwriter, luthier and vintage guitar connoisseur. He is an accomplished guitar technician with over 30 years of experience in the repair, modification, restoration, and construction of both vintage and new guitars. Soest works closely with Fender Guitars So Cal Service Center and is a consultant with Fenders Custom Shop and Artist Endorsement Programs. Steve has a distinguished client list including many of the world’s greatest guitarists: Brian Setzer, David Hidalgo, Dave Mason, Van Halen, The Rolling Stones, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. When not in the repair shop, you can catch Steve playing gigs around the LA/OC area with the band Superlark.
